Bureau Veritas to Serve as Chief Building Official for Abengoa Mojave Solar Power Plant Project
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Nov. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Bureau Veritas has been selected by the California Energy Commission to serve as Delegate Chief Building Official (DCBO) for the Abengoa Mohave Solar Project in San Bernardino, California. As DCBO, Bureau Veritas will be providing plan review and code inspection services for the design and construction of the facility, which is scheduled to go into service in early 2013. Construction will begin by the end of 2010 on the 250 megawatt facility, which will supply electricity to Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).

The California Energy Commission selected Bureau Veritas to review and archive all plans and inspect the quality of work needed to meet the California requirement for construction. Bureau Veritas will provide assistance for the entire document review and control process, as well as provide an archive of all completed work that fulfilled technical requirements. In addition, the entire plan review service is being implemented electronically to minimize time, costs, and paper waste.
