Bureau Veritas Joins Hands With Wipro to Offer Testing Services for Electrical and Electronic Products in India

Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services announced that its Electrical and Electronics Product Line and Wipro Ltd. (NYSE: WIT) a leading Global Information Technology, Consulting and Outsourcing company, have formed a strategic partnership to offer localized testing and certification services in India.

Wipro provides various testing services for electrical and electronic products through Tarang Lab, its NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) (ISO/IEC 17025) accredited product qualification and compliance laboratory. The services offered at Tarang Lab include mechanical, thermal, acoustic, reliability and electro-magnetic interference and compatibility related testing and consultancy services.
As per the partnership agreement, Tarang Lab, now recognized by Bureau Veritas, will provide testing services for electrical and electronic products to manufacturers in India. Additionally, Bureau Veritas, as a third party witness laboratory, will authenticate and verify test data required for certification.
The Bureau Veritas - Wipro collaboration enables manufacturers in India to receive prompt local support on product compliance.
