Bumbo Baby Seat Injury Lawyers File 14th Lawsuit Against Bumbo
Rose•Walker / Pulaski & Middleman, LLC law firms file their 14th lawsuit against Bumbo, Toys R Us
DALLAS, Aug. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The personal injury and product safety lawyers at Rose•Walker LLP and Pulaski & Middleman, LLC have just filed their 14th lawsuit against Bumbo International Trust.
Last week, the CPSC announced the second recall of approximately 4 million Bumbo molded foam rubber seats sold at Toys R Us, Target, WalMart and other major retailers. The nation-wide recall follows hundreds of reported incidents in which babies have been injured after falling out of the chair manufactured by Bumbo International, based in South Africa.
Accident Lawyers from Rose•Walker and Houston injury attorney Pulaski Middleman previously represented the families of 10 injured children. Those lawsuits were voluntarily dismissed less than a week before the first one was scheduled to start trial in a Houston courtroom almost two years ago. But, the Rose•Walker and Pulaski Middleman lawyers were not done. They kept pressing and in June 2011, they filed suit on behalf of the Ferrells in federal court in Austin, Texas. That lawsuit is set to start trial in November 2012. And, since filing that suit, the Rose•Walker and Pulaski Middleman lawyers have been contacted by more parents who wanted to sue Bumbo because of injuries suffered by their children.
In December 2011, the Rose•Walker and Pulaski Middleman lawyers filed suit on behalf of the O'Neal family, and in April 2012 they filed suit on behalf of the Hernandez family. Now, just one week after the second recall of the Bumbo Baby Sitter, the Rose•Walker and Pulaski Middleman lawyers have filed suit on behalf of the Blythe family.
"I'm proud of my lawyers at Rose•Walker and Pulaski Middleman for vigilantly pursuing the manufacturer of this dangerous product," said Erica Blythe, whose daughter was seriously injured when she fell out of her Bumbo and landed on the kitchen floor. "I was feeding my child on the kitchen table and was in direct contact with her and the Bumbo, yet she was still able to arch her back and fall out of the seat right in front of my eyes and outstretched arms," Ms. Blythe said.
"We have sued Bumbo 14 times now, and another 8 families have already contacted us and asked us to sue Bumbo because of their children's injuries," says Rose Walker attorney Ross Cunningham. "We filed suit for the Blythe family today, and we will keep suing Bumbo and these retailers as long as parents keep hiring us because of the injuries to their children," Rose Walker attorney Ross Cunningham said.
