Buffalo's CEO Named A 2013 Top 100 Executive By CRN
Buffalo Americas CEO, Hajime Nakai, Recognized for Delivering Innovative Technology Solutions
AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Buffalo Americas, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking and network and direct attached storage solutions, today announced that CEO Hajime Nakai was named one of CRN's Top 100 Executives for 2013. This annual list recognizes the most influential, innovative and game-changing channel executives in North America.
The Top 100 Executives list is based on ongoing feedback throughout the year from solution providers, with rankings based on channel influence, effectiveness and visibility, along with business and sales impact. Final selections were made by a panel of CRN editors. Among the criteria considered were channel sales volume, channel investment and resources, channel advocacy and visibility, and performance in The Channel Company research projects including the Annual Report Card and Channel Champions.
In a complex and continually changing market, Mr. Nakai's focus on diversifying Buffalo's network attached storage (NAS) product line with easy-to-use solutions has resulted in a refreshed user interface and high performance hardware and applications. His spearheading of inter-department collaboration has enabled Buffalo to continuously improve its product offerings and quality of service.
Nakai championed the adoption of the DD-WRT open source router platform that Buffalo brought to market in 2009. His ability to challenge the status quo in the industry with new innovative technologies has enabled Buffalo's resellers, integrators and managed service providers to offer powerful and customizable solutions to end users.
Further disrupting the IT channel and SMB NAS market, Nakai led the development of Buffalo's B2B software backup strategy and partnership with NovaStor, allowing Buffalo to offer Windows Server, Exchange and SQL backup support on embedded backup appliances that provide best value and best-in-class business backup solutions.
"Buffalo has a history of industry-firsts, from inventing the network attached storage product category to leading the way with delivering next-generation Wi-Fi solutions, and I'm honored to have played a role in leading this charge," said Hajime Nakai, CEO, Buffalo Americas. "Our strong relationships with solution providers and VAR partners have been critical to our success. CRN's recognition is a testament to our commitment to the channel, improving the livelihood of our partners with next-generation technologies and best-in-class support, now and in the future."
"Each individual featured on CRN's Top 100 Executives list has shown an unwavering commitment to the IT channel and serves as an example to the industry at large of how to be a successful leader, innovator and influencer," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company.
In August, Buffalo was named a 2013 CRN Annual Report Card (ARC) winner, given the highest honors for Networking Storage (SMB) as Overall Category winner, as well as two Networking Storage subcategory awards for support and partnership. CRN's ARC is considered the definitive benchmark for measuring excellence in the IT Channel community and recognizes the top-rated vendor partners in the industry.
CRN's Top 100 Executive List examines the executives who have played major roles in shaping the technology industry over the past year. This list includes the Top 25 Sales Leaders, the Top 25 Most Influential, the Top 25 Innovators and the Top 25 Disrupters.
