Buehler Motor Adds 62-Millimeter Motor to ec4more BLDC Line
New to Buehler Stock Service, the latest BLDC motor design features peak performance and adaptability
MORRISVILLE, N.C., Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Buehler Motor, Inc. (http://www.buehlermotor.com), a global company focused on the development and production of technically challenging mechatronic drive solutions, today introduced to the North American market a new 62-millimeter diameter by 142-millimeter overall length brushless DC (BLDC) motor. Offering the same level of performance and design benefits as other Buehler ec4more BLDC models, the new 62-millimeter design is ideal for a wide range of products with limited mounting space for a drive unit.
The new ec4more Buehler 62-millimeter BLDC motor features and benefits include:
- Dynamic Performance – The motor's peak performance is up to 400 watts and the nominal power output is 200 watts. Its nominal output torque is 45 newton centimeters (Ncm) and the holding torque is 3.5 Ncm. With its highly dynamic internal rotor, the motor service life is more than 20,000 hours.
- Environmentally Conscious Design – The BLDC motor provides maximum performance in the tightest of spaces with the highest energy efficiency. The efficiency factor of this motor equipped with rare-earth magnets is more than 80 percent. The motor's driving elements meet strict hazardous material use compliance. Its design is also focused on low weight and recycleability.
- Compatibility – The motor's three-phase design with a star connection and eight-pole rotor allows uncomplicated operation and compatibility with most controllers available on the market. With three digital hall-effect sensors arranged at 120 degrees, the Buehler BLDC motor can be integrated with various sensor systems.
- Adaptability – The zinc die cast end shields of the motor allow for a variety of mounting options. Attachment of encoder and/or brakes is simplified to enable very compact drive design. The modular motor design also allows for light modification of the bearing shield, output shaft and shaft protrusion on the commutation side according to customer requirements.
The Buehler ec4more BLDC product line is the ideal solution for stringent performance requirements in terms of efficiency, dynamics, power density, synchronous operation and long life. These brushless motors are available in standard compact drive sizes, including cylindrical diameters of 39 millimeters by 70 or 100 millimeters in length, and now 62 millimeters by 142 millimeters. The BLDC motors, with up to 500 watts of power, are easy replacements for existing drives and offer significant gains in power and energy efficiency.
