NEW YORK, May 20, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Buck, an integrated HR and benefits consulting, technology, and administration services firm, today announced that it was awarded four Gold Quill awards for excellence in publications and writing from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
For more than 40 years, IABC's Gold Quill Awards have recognized excellence in strategic communication worldwide and are acknowledged as one of the most prestigious awards programs in the industry.
Buck received one Award of Excellence and three Awards of Merit on behalf of its work with market-leading clients in the global security and aerospace sector and the entertainment industry. The four awards in Communication Skills/Publications and Communication Skills/Writing categories recognize Buck's innovative and creative work producing annual enrollment and benefit guides.
In total, the IABC awards committee selected 201 entries as world-class. Winners come from all over the world, representing a cross section of public and private sector organizations, both large and small. The field was very competitive this year, with more than 550 entries.
"We're in an increasingly complex benefits environment where communications must be accurate, comprehensive, and highly engaging so they resonate across the entire spectrum of channels and audiences," said Jack Freker, Chief Executive Officer of Buck. "Buck is proud to accept these awards demonstrating the advancement of the new social contract between employers and employees in these strategic and creative enrollment campaigns."
Awards committee chair Ed Kamrin, SCMP, said of this year's winners, "Recent events have highlighted that more than ever, we live in an interconnected world. The community of communication professionals is global, diverse, and vibrant. This year's Gold Quill winners demonstrate that our commitment to strategic communication crosses borders — and that our work is vital to the organizations we serve."
The awards will be presented during the Virtual Excellence Gala, on Tuesday, June 16, as part of IABC's Virtual World Conference. More information on the Gold Quill Awards, including the full list of winners, can be found on the IABC website.
