Bubbies Ice Cream wows the TODAY Show
Mochi treat brings 'cool-factor' to New York's Summer Fancy Food Show and lands celebrity fans
NEW YORK, June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hawaiian-grown Bubbies Ice Cream is revered by legions of fans throughout the world. Bubbies' fan base is largely fueled by its Mochi Ice Cream, a perfectly proportioned ice cream treat wrapped in soft, sweetened rice dough. Now, with exposure from a full TODAY Show feature and long lines at its Summer Fancy Food Show booth, Bubbies has hit the big time.
"Bubbies has been surprising and delighting customers for more than three decades from the Hawaiian Islands, and with expanded distribution channels and national exposure like this, we've literally hit the big time," said Bubbies Homemade Ice Cream & Desserts CEO Rick Schaffer.
Bubbies' marketing team leaped on an opportunity recently to send samples of its Mochi Ice Cream to the TODAY Show, and producers promptly showcased Bubbies as the anchors sampled treats in a recent segment on "wacky ice cream flavors." The segment happened to coincide with Bubbies’ annual appearance at New York’s Summer Fancy Food Show.
Bubbies is currently available in the United States at specialty, independent and national grocery stores, such as select Whole Foods, along with being featured on menus at high-end restaurants and hotels. With a domestic state-of-the-art manufacturing facility opening later this year, Bubbies will expand its distribution beyond these channels and bring mochi love to even more fans.
Mochi Ice Cream has gained popularity in recent years, with fans loving the portability of the bite-size treats. Bubbies’ proprietary ice cream recipe delivers super premium texture and taste in 29 traditional and unique flavors made with hand-selected ingredients such as perfectly ripened strawberries, rich chocolate chunks and pure ceremonial green tea powder. Bubbies is certified gluten-free by the Celiac Support Organization, kosher, and does not use ingredients genetically modified through the use of modern technology.
