BT Global Services' Managed Security Solutions Takes Top Honors in Annual Black Book Report
LONDON, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- BT Global Services today announced that its Security Services Group has received the highest rating overall among 65 of the world's leading IT security services vendors in Datamonitor's recently released Black Book of Outsourcing report. More than 1,600 current outsourcing customers participated in the study. BT Global Services was also rated as the top security provider on nine other attribute indicators customers believe are critical to performance success.
In addition to its position as the overall #1 Managed Security Services IT Outsourcing Provider, BT Security Services received the highest rating in the following operational excellence categories: client relationships and cultural fit; trust; breadth of offerings, client types, delivery excellence; deployment and outsourcing implementation; customization; reliability; marginal value adds; support and customer care; best of breed technology and process improvement, alongside receiving the highest recommendation for vertical market expertise. BT was the only managed security provider to earn top rankings in multiple categories in this independent and impartial survey of global business leaders.
"The fact that businesses worldwide that outsource networked IT functions have given such high ratings to BT's managed security services is further validation that BT has the global scope and performance capabilities to provide multinational enterprises with the comprehensive, reliable and state-of-the-art security solutions they demand in today's global marketplace," said Jeff Kelly, CEO, BT Global Services. "We regard client satisfaction as one of the highest priorities in delivering security and overall networked IT solutions to our customers."
"BT Global Services has earned the distinction of being the most customer-respected Managed Security Solutions vendor in the world," said Doug Brown, co-author of The Black Book of Outsourcing. "BT Global Services has earned the top honors in the industry due to its ability to deploy consistently across the full spectrum of criteria that clients look for in their Managed Security Solutions vendor."
In addition, BT Global Services was overwhelmingly praised by clients in two major user sectors of Managed Security Solutions: Managed Endpoint Security and Risk Threat and Vulnerability Management.
"Trust, customization, reliability and best of breed technology are the most important attributes influencing MSS client satisfaction in this study, and BT has earned the top rating in each category," Brown added. "The report attests to BT's strong ability to satisfy customers' expectations for managing, monitoring and protecting their company's confidential and valued assets."
"We are tremendously proud of this outstanding acknowledgement from corporations worldwide," said Ray Stanton, Global Head – Business Continuity, Security and Governance, BT. "These results attest to the fact that customers value our continued investment and drive around security capabilities and our relentless focus on delivering a first class customer experience."
BT Security Services has been providing state-of-the-art managed security solutions to enterprises worldwide for more than nine years. It has built one of the world's most sophisticated security management services and today offers a broad portfolio of managed security services, including security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, log management, and ethical hacking services.
The Black Book of Outsourcing is an annual survey started in 2004 by the Brown-Wilson Group, which was acquired by Datamonitor in June 2009. The study evaluates leading global outsourcing service providers across 18 operational excellence performance indicators from the perspective of clients' experience. Based on study results, the report presents an overview of the costs and benefits of outsourcing, its uses and applications, as well as identifies the best managed global outsourcing vendors.
