IRVING, Texas, March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- BT announced today that its managed identity service, BT Assure Cloud Identity, has become available to customers based across the Americas. BT's service helps protect business data wherever it's located – in the cloud, on-premises or in hybrid IT systems – using the enterprise-grade Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities from CA Secure Cloud paired with BT's extensive managed security expertise.
BT customers benefit from a turnkey, cost-effective security system that supports the increasing demand for mobility, growing use of social identities and the need for partner integration and customer access. Assure Cloud Identity offers a flexible solution designed to meet the demand for securely connecting employees, customers and partners to company applications from any location on any device.
CA Secure Cloud is the core IAM technology behind the Assure Cloud Identity service, controlling access to BT customers' on-premises and cloud applications. This includes the efficient provisioning and management of users; federated single sign-on for software-as-a-service (SaaS) and on-premises applications; and protection against inappropriate access and fraud through proven advanced authentication services that incorporate multi-factor and behavioral analytics to make the process as seamless as possible.
Jason Cook, vice president, BT Security in the Americas, said: "We are pleased to bring this new service to our customers in the Americas, hosted and delivered from our datacenters in the US. Based on cutting edge technology from CA Technologies, it gives our customers the confidence and convenience of protecting critical data from loss or improper use, no matter where it resides. Customers are able to do this without a significant investment into hardware or staffing to support the technology and they free up time and resource for their core business."
Steve Firestone, senior vice president, security business at CA Technologies, said: "One of the core strategies for CA's security business is to work with successful companies, like BT, to integrate CA's leading identity and access management technologies as the engine driving their security solutions. BT's success in helping its customers address security in the application economy is a positive reflection of our partnership and the strength of CA's IAM technology."
