Bsquare Announces DataV Compatibility with AWS Greengrass

BELLEVUE, Wash., June 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bsquare (NASDAQ: BSQR) today announced that as a result of participation in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) invitation only Limited Preview program, DataV is now fully interoperable with AWS Greengrass, the latest IoT service offering from AWS. AWS Greengrass enables local compute, messaging, and data synchronization for connected devices and ensures IoT devices can respond quickly to local events, operate with intermittent connections, and minimize the expense of transmitting IoT data to the cloud.  Utilizing advanced analytics models built from device data, DataV is able to auto-generate AWS Lambda functions which are then executed on AWS Greengrass Core enabling edge analytics without the need to program AWS Lambda functions directly.  This configuration reduces communications cost and latency and facilitates operation in an 'occasionally connected' scenario.
