ISO 50001 will help organizations of all sizes implement the processes necessary to understand their baseline energy usage, as well as to establish action plans, targets, and energy performance indicators. The standard requires an organization to identify, prioritize, and record opportunities for improving energy performance to recognize those savings. By conforming to ISO 50001, an organization can reduce energy consumption.
