Bruce Andrew Fowler, Ph.D. is recognized by Continental Who's Who
ROCKVILLE, Md., Nov. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Who's Who recognizes Bruce Andrew Fowler, Ph.D., as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of his contributions to the field of Higher Education and Toxicology.
Dr. Fowler is an Adjunct Professor and Toxicologist at the Emery University Rollins School of Public Health. Additionally, he serves as a Founding Partner at Toxicology and Risk Assessment Consulting Services. He brings over 46 years of experience to the field and touts expertise in application of computational toxicology to risk assessment as well as molecular biology markers.
Inspired by working at the University of Washington, where he worked on the toxins dieldrin/endrin (which destroy embryos of fish) he now continues his career with a focus on consulting. He also serves as the Federal Legislative and NARFE-PAC Chair for Rockville, Maryland NARFE Chapter 1127.
Dr. Fowler earned his Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Oregon Medical School and his Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the University of Washington – Seattle. A number of published works fill his resume, as he has co-authored Molecular Biological Markers for Toxicology and Risk Assessment, published in 2016; co-edited the fourth edition of Handbook on the Toxicology of Metals in 2015; and edited Computational Toxicology: Methods and Applications for Risk Assessment in 2013.
To further his professional development, Dr. Fowler is a Fellow of the Academy of Toxicological Sciences, and a member of the American College of Toxicology, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society for Nanomedicine, the Society of Toxicology and the Society for Risk Analysis.
As a result of his impressive work, Dr. Fowler has amassed a series of honors. He was named Chairman of the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council and then named to the Academy's Committee on Measuring Lead Exposure in Infants, Children and Other Sensitive Populations; and its Commissions on both Life Sciences and Toxicology.
