Brown & Toland Supports Star Walkers at SF AIDS Walk 2011

SAN FRANCISCO, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Brown & Toland Physicians is proud to support the 25th annual San Francisco AIDS Walk in Golden Gate Park on Sunday July 17. Since it began, the event has raised nearly $75 million to help prevent and treat HIV and AIDS, which has claimed the lives of more than 19,000 San Franciscans since the beginning of the epidemic.

Brown & Toland, San Francisco's largest independent physician association, is sponsoring the Star Walker breakfast tent and free HIV testing. Every participant who joins the Star Walker club and raises $1,000 or more at the AIDS Walk receives a gold crown, pin, and VIP pass. Proceeds from the walk will benefit the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

This year, the event will feature entertainment by actress Cloris Leachman, actor Alan Cumming, Michael Urie of "Ugly Betty," and Tony-winner Judy Kaye, one of the cast members from "Tales of the City."

Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:45 a.m. The walk kicks off at 10:30 a.m., with a concert at 12:30 p.m.
