Brown & Haley Launches ALMOND ROCA® Cream -- Indulgent Dessert Wine
The famed Buttercrunch toffee-maker enters its next 100 years with wine innovation
TACOMA, Wash., Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its centennial celebration, Brown & Haley announced the breakout launch of ALMOND ROCA® Cream, an indulgent cream-based dessert wine that carves out a unique category for itself on wine shelves across the country.
Bottled by the Chocolate Shop Winery in Walla Walla, Wash., ALMOND ROCA® Cream is a new extension of Brown & Haley's globally enjoyed confection. This is the first time Brown & Haley has delved into a wine and spirits line extension.
"For 100 years Brown & Haley has indulgent treats and irresistible flavors to confection lovers everywhere," Brown & Haley Chief Executive Officer Pierson Clair said. "We are now adding a new member to the family, ALMOND ROCA® Cream, which captures the very essence of our ALMOND ROCA® Buttercrunch in a silky, dessert wine."
In this cream-based wine, natural almond and toffee flavors marry with delicate cocoa notes, just like the flavors found in ALMOND ROCA® Buttercrunch toffee. ALMOND ROCA® Cream is crafted to be enjoyed over ice as a traditional wine, or mixed with coffee. The 750ml bottles retail for $14.99 and contain 14% alcohol. The formula and flavor profile were co-created by Brown & Haley and Chocolate Shop Winemaker Hal Landvoigt. Precept Wine will market Almond ROCA® Cream.
