Brose North America Appoints John Dunn President
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective August 1, 2012, John Dunn was appointed President of Brose North America. Mr. Dunn has been employed by Brose for 14 years and was most recently responsible for regional production as COO for Brose in North America since 2007. In this function he reports directly to Jurgen Otto, CEO of the Brose Group.
John Dunn graduated with degrees in engineering from Purdue University and the University of Wisconsin. After joining Brose North America as Director for General Motors Door System business in 1998, he was appointed General Manager of the Chicago plant in 2002.
Mr. Dunn succeeds Jan Kowal, who will become Chairman of Brose North America. Jan Kowal has been with the company for 26 years. Most notably he was responsible for the expansion of Brose's presence in North America. Since he took over responsibility for the region in 1999, sales have expanded from a level of $90 million to over $1 billion, which is now supported by eight production locations and 4,000 employees.
