Brooks McBeth to Tape New Comedy Special

LAS VEGAS, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Popular comedian Brooks McBeth returns to his hometown, bringing two shows with special guest Joel McHale (Yahoo's Community & E!'s The Soup) to Seattle's The Triple Door during which he will tape his new stand up comedy special, Brooks McBeth: This Ain't Shakespeare.

McBeth tours nationwide with his stand up act and is the full-time opener for Joel McHale.  McBeth's talent has led to performances with such greats as Frank Caliendo, Drew Carey, Harland Williams, Doug Benson, Snoop Dog, Daniel Tosh and Jack Black and appearances on CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Comedy Central's Seattle-based sketch comedy Almost Live!  McBeth has worked as a staff writer on such hit shows has FOX's Mad TV and Comedy Central's Trigger Happy TV, Con, and Almost Live!

This Ain't Shakespeare will also feature other yet-to-be-announced guest star comedians, from the stand up stage and television.

Experience Media Studios is producing the one-hour comedy special for broadcast, DVD, and digital release, with Michael-Ryan Fletchall directing.  Mr. Fletchall's most recent projects include The Forger starring Josh Hutcherson, Lauren Bacall, Alfred Molina, and Hayden Panettiere, It's a Mall World for MTV, Two-Eleven with writer/director Velvet Andrews Smith, and his five-time award winning film Intelligence starring Milo Ventimiglia (Mob City, Heroes).
