Unfortunately holograms do introduce different dynamics when it comes to video conferencing. Since holograms are 3D, they show the person you're meeting with exactly as they are. "We had a meeting with John Prescott, our logistics manager in New York," said Jim Murphy CEO of Broadvoice. "Since all images are in 3D, we noticed that John has gained a considerate amount of weight since we last saw him. Naturally we had to give him a good ribbing during the call. He claimed he was eating too much dim sum. I said yea, dim sum and then some."
With a small upfront investment, enterprises can capitalize on the next generation of communication. The first model available now for conference tables is the Holo55.
