Broadstripe Responds Quickly After Lawn Crew Cuts Cable
SEATTLE, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Yesterday, Monday June 13th at approximately 2:45PM there was a cut to Broadstripe's fiber-optic line that impacted Broadstripe customers in Duvall, Echo Lake, Issaquah, Redmond, and Sammamish in Washington State. Broadstripe dispatched a repair crew to the site within minutes, located the fiber cut and began repairs of two 96 count fiber optic cables. Service was restored just prior to 1AM on Tuesday morning.
The damage to Broadstripe fiber optic cable was accidentally caused by a county lawn moving crew working on Issaquah-Fall City Road in Duvall.
John Bjorn, Executive Vice President for Broadstripe' s NW Region said that such accidental fiber cuts happen relatively infrequently. Anytime they happen however, they represent a major inconvenience for our customers. We are sorry that our customers were inconvenienced yesterday.
