Broadcast Technology Veteran Randy Lai Joins HARDATA as Director of Technology (Asia)
- Hong Kong-based Technologist Will Provide Technical Guidance and Sales Support to HARDATA Distributors in Asia -
HONG KONG and THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., Aug. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- HARDATA, a developer of workflow efficiency solutions for the broadcast and entertainment industries, today announced that broadcasting technology veteran, Randy Lai, has joined the company as director of technology (Asia).
Lai has experience as a television engineer and entrepreneur, and has worked with some of the biggest companies in the broadcasting industry around the world. He is based in Hong Kong and will serve as a technical resource for HARDATA's distributors and customers. He reports to Philip B. Cox, HARDATA President and CEO.
"As a high level technologist and market expert, Randy is the ideal person to provide technical guidance to our distributors on complex installations," Cox said. "He brings to HARDATA widespread experience in multi-language applications having worked extensively across Asia. Before joining HARDATA, Lai founded and served as director of engineering and operations of EverTop Technology Ltd. for 16 years. Prior to EverTop, he served in Asia-Pacific regional technical leadership roles at Tekronix, Advance Communications Equipment Co. and KPS Production Studios.
Lai graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering.
HARDATA will be exhibiting at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam September 12-17 in HARDATA's booth #8.C16.
