IRVING, Texas, Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Oh the weather outside might be frightful, but 7-Eleven® stores' "Bring Your Own Cup" (BYOC) Day is back, and it's delightful. 7-Eleven is celebrating Black Friday with a Slurpee fan favorite -- BYOC. Holiday shoppers, football game-watchers and everyone else are invited to pop in Nov. 23 and fuel up so they can stay hydrated and energized for anything the day throws their way.
Slurpee drink fans can fill any "cup" – or containers that can be used as cups – with Slurpee drink deliciousness at participating 7-Eleven stores Friday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. That includes cookie jars, ladles, punchbowls and other containers that are thirsting to be filled with their favorite Slurpee® flavor. All cups must be leak-proof, safe, sanitary and fit upright within the in-store BYOC display cutout, which is about 10 inches in diameter. Sorry, trash cans, kitchen sinks and sleighs are not eligible.
The cost to fill any "cup" of choice, regardless of size, is $1.49, the price of an average medium Slurpee drink. In addition to BYOC Day, 7Rewards® customer loyalty platform members can enjoy a slice of pizza for 50 cents at participating stores each day from Black Friday through Cyber Monday (Nov. 26). The pizza offer is only available to 7Rewards members who scan their 7‑Eleven app, use their 7‑Eleven physical card or key chain fob, or enter their Alt-ID (phone number) at purchase. Offer can be redeemed once per day per customer.
"Many Slurpee fans will be out and about on the biggest shopping day of the year," said Jacob Barnes, 7-Eleven senior category manager for proprietary beverages. "With BYOC, they can fill up with their favorite Slurpee drink to keep them going, whether it's back out with the crowds or back home to the couch."
Slurpee drink fans can share their BYOC Day experience with photos on social media. To encourage social media participation, 7‑Eleven is using the hashtag #BYOCDay2018 so Slurpee drink fans can share their creative, colorful cups on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
7-Eleven's BYOC Day is a worldwide phenomenon. In addition to the U.S., 7-Eleven stores in Australia, Canada, the Philippines and Malaysia have held BYOC Days.
