BrightLife Direct Introduces Redesigned Solaris ReadyWrap Quick-Fit
Washington, DC-based distributor offers new version of old favorite as alternative to compression stockings.
WASHINGTON, Dec. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BrightLife Direct, a compression garment distributor, has announced that the redesigned Solaris ReadyWrap Quick-Fit is now available through its website. An alternative to compression stockings, the garments are sold in separate units for the foot, calf, knee and thigh, and resemble an athletic brace.
"This Solaris Medical compression product has been out for several years, but they recently made some changes in contouring, closures and foot design," said Kip Bright, president of BrightLife Direct. "The redesign makes it easier to put on and provides a better fit."
The units are worn separately over the foot, ankle, knee and thigh or worn together, depending on the needs of the individual and the recommendations of their doctor.
"They are especially helpful for people with limited hand strength, those who find it difficult to bend at the waist, or for patients with non-standard limb shapes," said Bright. "People with fragile skin or wounds also find them easier to use. Pulling on stockings can accidentally remove bandages or be painful on the skin. The Solaris Ready-Wrap Quick-Fit is applied directly to the appropriate area, so that doesn't happen."
Changes improve both the fit and donning process. For example, rather than an ambidextrous foot unit, they are now made specifically for the left or right to better align with the contour of the foot and shoe. All pieces now have color coding on their Velcro closures to simplify the process of fastening the straps in the right place.
