WATERTOWN, Mass., Oct. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bright Horizons Family Solutions^®, a leading provider of high-quality child care, early education, educational counseling, and other services designed to help employers and families address the challenges of work and life, today announced it has been named to The Boston Globe Magazine and The Commonwealth Institute's (TCI) 2014 list of Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. Women represent nearly 70 percent of Bright Horizons' upper management, 56 percent of the executive team and 36 percent of its board of directors, including the board chair.

Rankings for the Top Women-Led Businesses list were based on revenue, workplace and board diversity, innovation, and the number of full-time employees. Organizations were also asked to name one of the ways they benefit their customers, and what their single most significant innovation was in 2013.

Companies named to the 13th Annual Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts list were announced at an award breakfast today. The complete list of honorees will be published in the Sunday, October 26th edition of The Boston Globe Magazine.
