Briggs & Stratton Corporation Announces Results of Annual Meeting

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Briggs & Stratton Corporation (NYSE: BGG):

Briggs & Stratton Corporation announced the following results of its Annual Meeting held today:

Shareholders reelected William F. Achtmeyer, David L. Burner and Todd J. Teske as directors to terms expiring in 2013.

As previously announced, upon conclusion of the meeting Mr. Teske became Chairman of the Board of Directors in addition to continuing to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer, and James E. Humphrey became a director in the Class of 2012, succeeding John S. Shiely, who retired as a director.

Shareholders ratified the selection of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company's independent auditors.
