BrickHouse Security Launches Observa, the First Remote View Hidden Camera to Seamlessly Integrate with a Complete Home Security and Automation System
First-of-its-kind hidden cam makes its debut at the 60th Annual ASIS Seminar and Exhibits in Atlanta, GA
NEW YORK, Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BrickHouse Security, a premier supplier of security and surveillance solutions to consumers, business and government, today introduced Observa, the first and only remote view hidden camera designed to be seamlessly integrated into a complete home security and automation system.
Available on October 1, 2014 at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $199.95, Observa looks like a common bluetooth speaker and blends easily into almost any room decor. But inside it houses a professional-grade, WiFi-enabled security camera with cloud-based video recording and storage and Night Vision infrared technology, which allows it to capture images even in complete darkness.
Observa is the latest addition to BrickHouse's MORzA family of home security and automation products and services, which already includes video monitoring.
"Observa has been years in the making," said BrickHouse CEO and Founder Todd Morris. "We're honored to share this revolutionary step forward in hidden camera technology with our friends and colleagues at ASIS."
To maximize its capabilities, MORzA subscribers can pair Observa with their existing centrally monitored alarm system. For example, if a window glass is broken or an unauthorized door is opened, MORzA triggers Observa to begin recording, catching any would-be criminals in the act without tipping them off to the presence of a camera.
In addition to instantly contacting BrickHouse central station monitoring, the system will send users an email or text alerting them to any activity; they'll then be able to stream the footage live on any mobile device or computer.
Observa can also be programmed to begin recording if a fire, flood or carbon monoxide emergency is detected -- or to capture live high definition streaming video of everyday events like children arriving home from school or a nanny playing with a toddler in the living room.
And with MORzA video monitoring, users can connect up to eight cameras, mixing and matching Observa hidden cameras and non-hidden models in any combination, to monitor every room in their home or office.
While Observa is an ideal complement to MORzA home security systems, it also functions on its own as a state-of-the-art remotely monitored hidden camera. Business owners and homeowners alike can check in on their property right from their smartphones, tablets, or PCs and always know that the people and things that matter most are protected.
