Brick Brewing joins Ontario beer drinkers in support of Advisory Council report
KITCHENER, ON, April 20, 2015 /CNW/ - Brick Brewing Co. Limited ("Brick" or the "Company") (TSX: BRB), a locally-owned brewery in Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario, offered its thanks - on behalf of its employees, customers and beer drinkers across Ontario - to the Premier's Advisory Council on Government Assets.
"This is a very good day for beer drinkers in this province" declared George Croft, President and Chief Executive Officer, Brick Brewing. "The vast majority of Ontarians were looking for significant change to the way beer was being sold in this province and the team led by Mr. Ed Clark truly delivered. Beer drinkers in Ontario can now expect to see more of the great craft beers being made by smaller breweries, and will soon find those great local beers in select grocery stores too. We're looking forward to raising a fine craft beer with Ontarians and all of Ontario's small, craft breweries."
"True competition and genuine choice are essential for consumers to get the best products and the best value" added Croft. "The improved access to consumers that small brewers will enjoy allows us to compete more effectively and better serve beer drinkers across Ontario. While there is still work to be done, we're hopeful to see quick implementation of the panel's recommendations and awakening Ontario to the craft beer revolution that has been going on all around us."
