Briar Chapel To Launch Phase 6 South

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., April 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Briar Chapel, a new home community in Chapel Hill, NC, this weekend will launch Phase 6 South, the community's next stage of development. M/I Homes and ForeverHome, both ranked in the top 10 homebuilders in the Triangle, will join Briar Chapel in developing Phase 6 South, which will kick-off alongside the community's annual Earth Day 5k Race & Festival on Saturday.

Phase 6 South will feature ranch-style villas with a combined total of nine move-in ready homes and two furnished models open for the launch. Additionally, Saturday marks the rollout of a number of exciting new outdoor amenities at Briar Chapel, including Boulder Park and a linear greenway, featuring access to biking trails, bocce ball court, horseshoe pits, community garden, fire pit, and gazebo.

Outdoor events throughout the day celebrate Earth Day and Briar Chapel's healthy, green lifestyle. A morning 5k Race and a trail ride with Triangle Off-Road Cyclists (TORC) begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by bocce ball and horseshoes pick-up games, as well as "Green" Crafting, Gardening Expo, Cooking Demo and more from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Food and beer trucks from local vendors will round out the festivities, all set to live music by Vintage Highways Band.
