Brentwood Bank Launches Relationship Banking Unit
PITTSBURGH, Feb. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Brentwood Bank is launching a new Relationship Banking Unit, dedicated to focusing on building relationships and expanding opportunities with small and mid-sized businesses within its market.
"Although nearly every bank says that it has some form of relationship banking, what we believe sets Brentwood Bank apart is our singular focus on being engaged in the communities we serve," said Thomas Bailey, president and CEO of Brentwood Bank. "Unlike the structure of large national banks, our relationship banking professionals provide a true full-service experience to our customers. The relationship manager will provide a one-stop shop our customers desire, facilitating each customers' needs – from asset management to loan services to remote deposit."
While Brentwood Bank has always employed some type of relationship banking, this is the first time the Bank has focused and staffed the group with individuals who can serve as full-service bankers to their customers.
Among recent customers who have taken advantage of this type of relationship banking is a local leisure/recreation business owner who was unhappy with his large bank relationship and transitioned to Brentwood Bank, opening multiple business accounts, using Brentwood's cash management service to save the cost of hiring a payroll service company. Various partners opened personal accounts, a construction mortgage was financed for a partner, commercial borrowing was financed and a number of employees opened personal accounts.
Brentwood Bank's relationship bankers remain with the customer during the life of the relationship, providing training, support and guidance. The same people who establish the relationship with the customer will be there to tend to any ongoing issues.
Relationship building personnel from the Commercial and Retail banking divisions were brought together to form this new unit, while a new hire, Betty Karleski came from outside the banking industry but is an individual who has focused her career on relationship building, particularly in the healthcare field.
"We believe we have the right team of people to best serve our customers and continue to grow our Relationship Banking Unit," added Bailey. "We are taking what we do best – serving the communities in which we operate – and creating opportunities for our customers to grow their business."
