SAN DIEGO, May 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (NYSE: BPI) today announced the appointment of Brent Fitch to the position of senior vice president, shared services operations. In this role, Fitch will develop and implement solutions to continue providing students with high-quality experiences in enrollment, student, and financial aid advising. He will report directly to Chief Operating Officer Chris Henn.
Prior to joining Bridgepoint, Fitch served in the role of strategic services director at Blackboard, a company known for its widely used educational technology platform. Fitch previously also served in several roles at University of Phoenix, including senior vice president of operations and senior vice president of enrollment services. Prior to his employment with University of Phoenix, Fitch served as a chief intelligence sergeant in the National Guard.

Fitch holds an MBA from University of New Orleans and a bachelor's degree in management and marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University.
