Breitling Oil and Gas Spuds Breitling-Big Tex #3 Well in Nueces County, Texas
IRVING, Texas, Oct. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Breitling Oil and Gas Corporation, an independent exploration and production company based in Irving, Texas, announced today that it has spud the Breitling-Big Tex #3 in Nueces County, Texas as it continues to develop its "Gulf Coast Onshore Initiative" that began in May 2010.
The Big Tex prospect is an 8,200' well to test the Pflueger sand series, numerous stratigraphic Pflueger sands, and a relatively unexplored deeper 8,200' Lower Frio sand section in the Big Caesar field. The Big Tex prospect is actually in the middle of the Big Caesar Stratton field complex which produced 35 million barrels of oil, and 65 BCF of gas primarily from the Pflueger sand series.
Management anticipates the well will reach total depth in about 9 days. Well completion and
testing on the Breitling-Big Tex #3 well should begin during the last week of November 2012.
Breitling Oil and Gas CEO Chris Faulkner stated, "We are excited to drill the third and final Big Tex well here in the prolific Big Caesar field." Faulkner added, "The Pflueger sand series is comprised of three primary lobes that range in depth from 7,400 feet to 7,480 feet so we have good serendipity along the hole."
