Bread for the World Announces Impressive Roster of Speakers for 2014 National Gathering

Event speakers, including John Podesta, special adviser to President Obama; Dana Hyde, the new CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC); Dr. Manuel Pastor, professor of sociology and American studies and ethnicity at the University of Southern California; Rick Steves, public television personality, travel expert, and longtime Bread activist; Gaby Pacheco, DREAMer and immigration-rights leader; Desmond Meade, returning citizen and PICO state director for Florida; Rev. Gabriel Salguero, president of the National Latino Evangelical Coalition; Rev. Nicta Lubaale, Kenyan pastor and food-security champion; and Tonya Rawe, CARE senior policy advocate.

Each June, Bread for the World's gathering attracts an impressive roster of speakers, teaching participants about key issues impacting hungry people. With speakers ranging from policy experts to faith leaders, this year's program will educate activists on issues of immigration, mass incarceration, and sustainable food security.
