Brazil Encourages Runners to Experience Rio at ING New York City Marathon

BRASILIA, Brazil, Nov. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Embratur, the Brazil Tourism Board, will bring the carioca heat to New York City this weekend as the country invites runners to run their next marathon in Rio de Janeiro. The Brazil Tourism Board returns for a second year to provide a cultural experience for the participants and audience at the ING New York City Marathon. This year, they will have Brazil ambassadors advertising in Central Park, Times Square, Columbus Circle and Union Square with promotional materials and banners, all with one message: "Brazil is calling you, come and run in Rio in 2012."

Ambassadors will be cruising around the city via segways handing out detailed information on how runners can get involved in the 2012 race, and providing a quick Brazilian culture break for participants during their run.
