Brasilinvest Launches 15 New JVs, Brazil's Top Economic Weekly Announces

SAO PAULO, Oct. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This week's edition of IstoE Dinheiro, Brazil's most widely read weekly economic magazine, features a 5-page article on the 15 new Joint-Ventures formed by Brasilinvest.
Brazil's foremost merchant bank, led by Mario Garnero, disclosed the new partnerships to the public during the III Sustainable Development Forum, which took place last September 26 at the Harvard Club (Harvard Hall) in New York.
The article names the cross-sector JVs "Garnero's Golden Club". It hails Brasilinvest as the world's leading private gateway into the booming Brazilian economy.
In the technology industry, the new JVs have been established in partnership with Netsol Technologies, Wisekey, Envion, Naturally Scientific and Workhouse.
In finance, a special JV has been formed with Highland Capital Management for infrastructure projects in Brazil and asset finance for Brazilian companies.
Brasilinvest has also partnered with Azul Airlines and ATR for the financing of aircrafts. Joint operations additionally include BIM – Monaco Asset Allocation and TEKA Capital, an investment fund targeted at Colombia and Brazil whose investors include the Santo Domingo Family.
In shipping, natural resources and security & strategy partners are Golden Energy, IPulse, Brasil Resources Inc. and Command-Provise.
In Real Estate, a new area of development to third parties and projects (Brasilinvest Real Estate Development -BRED) has been announced, as well as the Petrobras-Modern Mining Group, a partnership that comprehends a Joint-Venture with the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia.
At the conference, Brasilinvest also informed the arrival of 3 new members to its Global Advisory Board: Phillipe Douste-Blazy, President of UNITAID and a former French Minister of Health, Culture and Foreign Affairs; Carlos Moreira, Founder and CEO of Wisekey, and Manuel Garcia-Duran, Chairman and CEO of Ezentis.
