Brandman University Announces Pamela Monaco Has Joined the Board of the Academic Conference of American Deans
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Brandman University, a member of the Chapman University System, today announced that Pamela Monaco, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Academic Conference of American Deans (ACAD).

In her current role, Dr. Monaco has overseen the transition of more than 100 traditional courses to a blended format of online engagement and face-to-face instruction. She also developed Brandman's innovative Veterans2College Program. Formerly, Dr. Monaco served as Director of University of Massachusetts-Amherst University Without Walls and as Dean of Communications, Arts and Humanities at University of Maryland University College. She was a Fulbright Scholar to the University of Tartu in Estonia and holds a master's and Ph.D. in English from Catholic University and a bachelor's of business administration degree from George Washington University. She continues to teach at Brandman in her disciplines of English and theatre.
