Brain Research Foundation Discovery Dinner Raises Over $500,000 For Pioneering Neuroscience Research

WILLIAM E. FAY, JR., CHAIRMAN EMERITUS AND FOUNDING TRUSTEE HONORED WITH FOUNDER'S AWARD
CHICAGO, Oct. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Brain Research Foundation awarded the 2014 Frederic A. Gibbs Discovery Award in Philanthropy to Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, ComPsych Corporation.
Dr. Chaifetz is Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer ComPsych and Founder and Chairman, Chaifetz Group. Dr.Chaifetz was chosen by the Board of Trustees of the Brain Research Foundation to receive the award to recognize his deep commitment to civic and philanthropic efforts. The Discovery Dinner's Founder's Award was given to William E. Fay, Jr., who is 97 years of age and attributes his mental acuity to daily exercise. Mr. Fay was a dynamic Chicago businessman and Executive Vice President for Smith Barney & Company until he retired in 1982. As Chairman Emeritus of the Brain Research Foundation, Bill remains dedicated to the BRF mission and calls into every board meeting.
The 2014 Brain Research Foundation Annual Gala was co-chaired by Joan and Richard Kohn and Alicia and Peter Pond.
