bpost strenghtens its focus on International e-commerce
BRUSSELS, Belgium and SANTA BARBARA, CA, Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - bpost has initiated a major reorganisation of its bpost International division in order to serve the package distribution needs of the global e-commerce marketplace and become a world leader in providing the necessary services to this community wherever it is located. bpost initially built its presence and expertise outside its home market by offering international mail solutions under the brand bpost international. Dave Mays, currently CEO of Landmark Global, which is majority owned by bpost, will lead the new organisation, that will market its services worldwide under the new brand name "Landmark Global, a bpost company".

Building on the work of the past years, in which the international teams have proven their skills and knowledge, bpost wants to be even more ambitious in the future. To do so, a new organization which will better integrate the different subsidiaries into one combined structure will bet set up leveraging on the synergies and expertise of those entities.
One of the initial and key steps in this change is the creation of a highly energized and entrepreneurial approach to the opportunities presented by the global e-commerce marketplace, understanding not only where the market is, but where it's going, and how to capture the attention of parcel shippers around the world. This new organization will do business with a 'parcel first' mindset under the brand « Landmark Global, a bpost company » and will be led by Dave Mays, the current CEO and founder of Landmark Global, Inc. Landmark Global's worldwide locations will integrate current bpost International subsidiaries and include 12 facilities strategically located in the USA and Canada; London (UK); Groningen, Netherlands; Brussels, Belgium; Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, China; Hong Kong; Singapore; and Sydney Australia.
