NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lawsuit Settlement Funding Company, announced today that the major ruling by Judge Barbier - denying B.P.'s motion to drastically order changes to the landmark settlement- is now allowing the pre-settlement company to increase business cash advance amounts for the busy holiday season. Legal-Bay was one of the only legal funding companies still providing cash advances and business lines of credit (also referred to as lawsuit loans by plaintiffs) as B.P. challenged the landmark settlement. However, Legal-Bay has now agreed to increase funding amounts up to $250K, with 48 hour approvals just in time for year-end cash needs.

Chris Janish, Legal-Bay's CEO commented on the B.P. recent settlement news, "We have always maintained that B.P.'s tactics are nothing more than a desperate attempt to slow the claim process down, and to that effect they have succeeded. B.P. has hurt the very businesses that they claim to have wanted to compensate for their damage, by not allowing them the needed cash flow over the difficult holiday season. Fortunately for the so many business owners that need working capital, Legal-Bay stands committed to helping them right now with a B.P. Claim Funding." To learn more about Legal-Bay's B.P. In a harshly written ruling, Judge Barbier, labeled B.P.'s intentions as "disappointing" and believed that they were generally reneging on the good faith they had when they signed the business claim settlement agreement. Regardless of the end result, it is clear that this legal hurdle is just one of many still needed to be cleared until the Claim Center begins sending clients their much needed settlement checks. Many business experts do not believe that the majority of funds will start flowing until April 2014 when the statute of limitations expires to file BEL claims.
"Unfortunately B.P. is trying to discourage law firms and plaintiffs that have legitimate claims to file new claims; however we continue to evaluate claims and file new claims for businesses that have been affected by this horrific tragedy", said attorney Kevin C. Schoenberger of New Orleans. "We encourage business owners that have not filed, to call our office immediately for a free case evaluation, as time to file a claim is winding down quickly". The Law Offices of Kevin C. Schoenberger have agents standing by Mon. to Fri. to answer any of your B.P. lawsuit questions at: 504.525.1123. The Law Offices of Kevin C. Schoenberger are able to file B.P. Claims for clients in Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama.
