Funds raised at checkout will go toward supporting BGCA's More Members More Often initiative. The initiative focuses on attracting more young people to join the Club, motivating existing members to increase their participation and retaining youth as members over longer periods of time.
"We are grateful to jcpenney customers for joining us in our efforts to ensure that as many children as possible have access to Clubs across the country," said Jim Clark, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. "Our alumni are proof that great futures do start at Boys & Girls Clubs. With the support of partners like jcpenney, we can continue to provide safe, affordable options for youth during the non-school hours and summer."
"We are proud to continue our support of Boys & Girls Clubs of America," said Miki Woodard, president of jcp cares and vice president of philanthropy at jcpenney. "We've partnered with this wonderful organization for over 20 years, and we're pleased to invite our customers to round up and positively impact the lives of millions of youth."
BGCA provides a safe place for children to learn and grow, and programming designed to develop future leaders. Education, career, leadership, character development, and sports and recreation are all integral parts of the Club experience.
