"Boyd Gaming has been paying Sam's Town employees in full since we closed on May 1, and we are happy to confirm that we'll continue this pay through Sunday, May 22. While we do not yet know exactly how long we will remain closed, we are tentatively planning on calling employees back to work starting Monday, May 23 to prepare for a reopening on Friday, May 27. Although the grounds and roadways around Sam's Town Tunica flooded, we are fortunate that the building itself has not experienced significant damage," said Paul Chakmak, Chief Operating Officer.
"There is no doubt that this has been a very difficult time for the entire region, and we hope we have made things a bit easier for our employees and their families by paying them without interruption since the temporary closure began. We are grateful for the dedication of our terrific employees, and we wish everyone in the area the best as they recover from these historic floods," said Chakmak.
