Box CEO Aaron Levie And FX CEO John Landgraf To Keynote At Inaugural Digital Entertainment World Next Month
Executives Join Line-Up that Includes Electronic Arts' Peter Moore, Facebook's David Lawenda, NBC's Rick Cotton and UTA's Jeremy Zimmer
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Entertainment World (DEW), the global event marketplace for digital executives focused on the complete digital content ecosystem, today announced that Box CEO Aaron Levie and FX CEO John Landgraf have been added to the event's all-star keynote line-up.
Landgraf – Adweek's 2013 TV Executive of the Year – will join NBCUniversal's lead IP protection counselor Rick Cotton for a keynote conversation on Tuesday afternoon, February 18, entitled "How Illegal Pirate Sites are Harming the Creative Community and New Strategies to Take the Profit Out of Piracy." During this discussion about the growth of digital piracy and the harmful effect it is having on the creative community, the two executives will address the scale of the problem, as well as the initial steps that have been taken to address piracy and the voluntary actions that can be taken by intermediaries in the Internet ecosystem to take the profitability out of piracy and promote creativity in the digital marketplace.
Levie – Inc. Magazine's 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year and a member of Forbes' 40 Under 40 list – will participate in a 30-minute keynote conversation on Wednesday morning, February 19. He will discuss how entertainment companies can use the cloud to increase productivity by creating, collaborating and sharing, as well as the importance of security when accessing critical content across multiple devices.
