NEW YORK, Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- This holiday season, Bowlmor AMF, the world leader in bowling entertainment, will team up with Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization, to host Jingle Bowl—Bowlmor AMF's annual holiday bowling celebration. This year, during Jingle Bowl, when guests at Bowlmor AMF's bowling centers order select food and beverage items, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Feeding America and its mission to fight hunger and help families in need throughout the country.
From December 16th through January 3rd, guests can visit any of Bowlmor AMF's more than 300 bowling centers in the U.S. and Canada—including the AMF Bowling Co., Brunswick Zone, Brunswick Zone XL, Bowlmor, and Bowlero locations—and with the purchase of select food and beverage specials, $1 from each sale will be donated to Feeding America. Bowlmor AMF is doubling its efforts this year with a defined donation of $50,000.
"As we like to say, 'The holidays are better when the family bowls together'—and there's no better feeling during the holidays than helping to support a worthy cause like Feeding America," said Colie Edison, Vice President of Marketing for Bowlmor AMF. "We're doubling our donation this year, upping our commitment, and looking forward to another successful partnership with an organization that's so dedicated to helping Americans in need."
"More than 42 million people in the United States face hunger, including 13 million children. As the year draws to a close, Feeding America is raising awareness of the challenges we must still overcome to end hunger, and also the incredible progress we have made in the past year to feed people in need," said Nancy Curby interim SVP of Development for Feeding America. "We are grateful to partner with Bowlmor and thank them for bringing people together and giving back to people in need."
