Bowers & Wilkins adds audio industry veteran David Ellington to expanding North American sales team
Ellington brings 25 years of industry expertise to the growing sales organization, under the leadership of Chief Revenue Officer Richard Campbell
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bowers & Wilkins, the British loudspeaker brand known for its high-performance audio products, is continuing to expand its growing sales channel with the addition of audio industry veteran David Ellington. Joining as Regional Sales Manager for the Southern Territory, Ellington is the latest in a series of high profile appointments at Bowers & Wilkins, following the announcements of Kevin Wolff as Director of North American Sales and Richard Campbell as Chief Revenue Officer.
Ellington has been surrounded by audio from an early age, when his father owned a hi-fi store in Northern Texas. His own career spans 25 years, during which time he has worked for companies including AudioQuest, Sumiko and Tweeter. With a focus on premium speciality distribution environments for both Independent and National accounts, David earned a reputation for being able to produce and setup some of the best audio systems in the industry.
In his new role, Ellington will be responsible for managing the Southern Sales region of the rapidly expanding Bowers & Wilkins product family – including the recently announced 700 Series, the PX Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones, the DB Series Subwoofer, and the Rotel and Classé lines.
"We are proud to welcome David to our growing North American Sales team," said Richard Campbell, Chief Revenue Officer. "His stellar reputation speaks for itself, and is just the talent we need to further our goal of offering the best possible dealer and customer support, married with the quality and reputation you expect from the Bowers & Wilkins brands."
"I am thrilled to join the Bowers & Wilkins team," said Ellington. "I have long followed and admired the products, and look forward to representing and building the brand in the South and Southwest regions."
Ellington is the latest senior hire on the expanding North American sales team since Richard Campbell took over Bowers & Wilkins global sales in July of this year. The hire comes after significant investment and expansion has been made on the engineering and product development teams in the company's UK Steyning audio research center, with the goal of strengthening its premier position as the leader for performance audio across custom install, luxury home speakers and headphones.
