Bounty Announces Eleven Finalists for Nationwide Contest to Help Transform School Art Classrooms
Public Vote Opened August 20th to Award One Grand Prize Winner with $25,000 Celebrity Designed Art Room Makeover
CINCINNATI, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Today, Procter & Gamble's (NYSE: PG) Bounty brand announced the eleven finalists of their nationwide contest to help transform art classrooms in schools across America. The contest, open for submissions from July 22 to August 9, received entries from schools across the country vying for a chance to win the $25,000 grand prize art classroom makeover designed by Bravo's "9 By Design" celebrity design team, Cortney and Robert Novogratz. The ten runner-up schools will each receive $5,000 grants for use toward transforming their school art rooms and a visit from the Bounty Make-A-Messterpiece art bus, an experiential art studio on wheels.

"As children are getting ready to go back to school, it is important that we do all we can to encourage them to be creative and inspire hands-on learning," says Bounty's brand manager, Dave Lee. "We are thrilled that so many schools entered our contest. Bounty believes that better funded art programs in school enable more hands-on creativity and learning for children."
During the contest entry process, students, teachers and parents were encouraged to nominate an elementary or middle school art classroom by submitting a 500-word essay describing why their school is in need of a Bounty "clean" makeover. The eleven finalists were selected based on individual need within heir specific school. Starting on Friday, August 20th at 12:00pm EDT, Bounty opened the contest to a public vote hosted on the Bounty Facebook page. The grand prize winner will be announced on Friday, August 27th. The finalists are:

- Whitehall Elementary - Bowie, MD
- John F. Kennedy - Wayne, NJ
- Quebec Heights Elementary School - Cincinnati, OH
- Washington Middle School - Vista, CA
- J.B. Sutton - Phoenix, AZ
- Imagine Academy of Careers Education - St. Louis, MO
- Central Montcalm Middle School - Stanton, MI
- Our Lady of Calvary - Philadelphia, PA
- Our Lady of Fatima Parish School - Huntington, WV
- Pecatonica Elementary - Pecatonica, IL
