"TV Our Way" - designed to reinforce the network's programmatic focus on African American programming for an African American audience – will feature Kevin Hart, Gabrielle Union and Regina Hall who star in the upcoming Screen Gems/Rainforest Films motion picture Think Like a Man. All three stars taped promotional pieces for the "TV Our Way" campaign, as well as the Bounce TV's upcoming tribute to Black History Month in February. Hart, one of the hottest talents in entertainment today, also taped promos for Bounce TV's new "Brown Sugar Saturday Night" weekly primetime franchise which launches January 7. "Brown Sugar Saturday Night" will showcase urban cinema with a '70s bent, featuring some of the most popular African American movies of all time, including Richard Roundtree as Shaft, Tamara Dobson in Cleopatra Jones, Max Julien in The Mack and Ron O'Neal in Super Fly.
Think Like a Man, the film adaptation of Steve Harvey's best-selling book "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man," is the story of four friends who conspire to turn the tables on their women when they discover the ladies have been using Harvey's relationship advice against them. The movie will be released March 9, 2012 and is produced by Rainforest Films, whose founders, Rob Hardy and Will Packer, are among the founders and executive leadership team of Bounce TV.
Other Bounce TV January highlights include special stunts featuring three of the most popular stars of our generation, Eddie Murphy, Denzel Washington and Richard Pryor: Murphy stars in Best Defense (Fri. Jan 13) and Vampire In Brooklyn (Sat. Jan 14); Washington headlines Heart Condition (Sun. Jan. 22) and Devil In A Blue Dress (Mon. Jan 23) and the legendary Pryor stars in Critical Condition (Thurs. Jan 26) and The Toy (Fri. Jan. 27). All movies start at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Tallahassee, FL and Albany, GA recently joined New York and Los Angeles (FOX Television Station Group) and Washington, D.C. (Gannett Broadcasting) as the newest Bounce TV affiliates. Bounce TV is also currently available in Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston, Cleveland/Akron, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Hartford/New Haven and other cities. The pioneering network has distribution agreements with major station groups as FOX, Gannett, Raycom Media, LIN TV Corp., Nexstar Communications, Belo Corp. and Meredith Broadcasting.
Bounce TV airs twenty four hours a day, seven days a week on the digital signals of local television stations. The network targets African Americans primarily between the ages of 25-54 with a programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, live sports, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series, original programming and more. Live sports and events are part of the Bounce TV schedule, including both football and basketball games from the nation's largest African American athletic conference, the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA.) Bounce TV's first CIAA basketball game will air Sat. Jan. 14 as Shaw University visits Chowan.
