Boulder Startup Week Announces 2016 Roster
Largest Startup Week in the World Expected to Draw 10,000 Entrepreneurs
BOULDER, Colo., May 2, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In one week, the largest Startup Week in the world will begin. The 6th Annual Boulder Startup Week, taking place from May 16-20, is expected to attract up to 10,000 entrepreneurs—making it one of the world's largest free entrepreneurial events.
Highlights of the 2016 agenda, which includes more than 200 free events, include unprecedented networking opportunities and workshops on attracting venture capitalists and angel investors, virtual reality technology, diagnostics, and the always-popular Techstars Demo Night. The size and scope of this year's Startup Week is a reflection of Boulder's entrepreneurial spirit, and means that Startup Week isn't just for techies anymore. With panels on organic food, hemp and recreational marijuana, mindfulness and healthy living, and youth, this year's Startup Week offers something for everyone.
Featured speakers at this year's event include Brad Feld and Seth Levine of the Foundry Group, Jane Miller of ProYo, Sue Heilbronner of MergeLane, Patrick Riley of the Global Accelerator Network, adman Alex Bogusky, and hundreds more. Sponsors of this year's event include Matter Communications, Name.com, Cisco Spark, Google, Applied Trust and Naropa University.
"We started Boulder Startup Week because we wanted to democratize learning and collaboration and remove the barriers to participation," said Andrew Hyde, founder of Startup Week. "Startup Week has always been motivated by the give-back ethos that Boulder is so well known for, and it's important to us that the entire week is free and open."
