Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan and Well Sense Health Plan appoint Eric Hunter as Chief Operating Officer
BOSTON, May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Following a nationwide search, Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan (BMCHP) and Well Sense Health Plan announced the appointment of Eric Hunter as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Mr. Hunter is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the operating units at BMCHP, including the Customer Care Center, Claims, Enrollment, Business Integration and Facilities.

For the past four years, Mr. Hunter served as Chief Executive Officer at ValueOptions of Texas, and previously at ValueOptions of Illinois. ValueOptions is the nation's largest independent behavioral health and wellness company. Mr. Hunter's experience also includes a variety of healthcare executive and senior level management positions in the public and private sectors, including with Centene, Inc., Schaller Anderson, Inc., and the Oklahoma Health Care Authority. He received a Business Administration degree from St. Leo University in Tampa, Florida.
