Boston Market Chief Administrative Officer Randy Miller Named To Give Kids The World Board Of Directors
Miller elected to leadership role in midst of Boston Market summer coupon book sales
GOLDEN, Colo., July 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Boston Market Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel Randy Miller was recently appointed to the Give Kids The World Board of Directors. Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is a Central Florida, non-profit, "storybook" resort providing cost-free, fantasy vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Boston Market has supported Give Kids the World since 2008.
"It is my privilege to serve such a meaningful organization," Miller said. "My family's visit to Give Kids The World Village years ago made a personal impact in my life as well as the lives of my children. Our Boston Market team members around the United States are proud of our relationship with Give Kids The World, and we are eager to continue our work and look forward to strengthening our partnership even further through both our promotional support and our hands-on work."
Through August 21, Boston Market guests may purchase a summer coupon book packed with $28 in savings for just $1. For every book sold, at least 85% of the purchase price goes straight to Give Kids The World Village®. Boston Market and its loyal guests once again will generate at least $500,000 this year to support Give Kids The World Village, adding to the total of more than $4 million donated to date.
A fitting focus of Boston Market contributions is the establishment and operation of Katie's Kitchen, a free-standing restaurant offering Boston Market products and located in the Give Kids The World Village. Katie's Kitchen, often staffed by Boston Market volunteers, provides nutritious, home-style food to families at no cost.
"We are thrilled to welcome Randy to the Give Kids The World family," said Pamela Landwirth, president and CEO of Give Kids The World Village. "Boston Market has been a loyal supporter for many years, and we appreciate everything it does for the children and families we serve. Randy's vision, experience and passion for helping others will be invaluable. His dedication to our mission shows that Boston Market remains committed to helping us create the happiness that inspires hope for our precious families."
GKTW is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and recently earned its 13th consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator, which reviews thousands of charities annually. GKTW is one of only 49 nonprofit organizations to earn a perfect score this year.
