Boston-Area IEEE Homeland Security Symposium Seeks Papers, Posters, Tutorials

WASHINGTON, June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Organizers of the 2015 IEEE International Symposium on Technologies for Homeland Security (HST '15) are seeking technical papers, posters and tutorials in the following areas:
- Cyber Security
- Attack & Disaster Preparation, Recovery & Response
- Land & Maritime Border Security
- Biometrics & Forensics
Abstracts, which are due 15 July, should focus on technologies capable of deployment within five years. All areas will cover the following common topics:
- Strategy & threat characterization, CONOPs, risk analysis
- Modeling, simulation, experimentation, exercise & training
- Test beds, standards & evaluations
Accepted papers will be published by IEEE and presented at HST '15 at the Westin Waltham Boston in Waltham, Mass., USA, 14-16 April 2015. At least one author of an accepted paper is required to register for the symposium and pay the registration fee.
The event, 14th in an annual series, will bring together leading researchers and innovators working on technologies designed to deter and prevent homeland attacks, protect critical infrastructures and people, mitigate damage and expedite recovery. International partners are encouraged to participate.

Important 2015 submission dates, by midnight eastern time:
- Paper abstract deadline – 15 July
- Paper submission invitation issued – 1 August
- Final paper submission & tutorial proposal deadline – 1 November
- Paper, poster & tutorial acceptance notification – 15 December
