Expanding Its Business Ecosystem: Beyond Mobility to Warrantee Services
- Business integration with existing partners like PayExpress and Nature Mobility in BOScoin's Partnership Ecosystem
SEOUL, South Korea, Dec. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Korea's first initial coin offering project suggesting a new financing methodology, BOScoin (CEO: Yezune Choi, Company name: BlockchainOS) announced on December 21 that a quadrilateral MOU was signed. Tri World Holdings (CEO: Taewoo Kim), a project that provides extension guarantee service, is the newly acquired partner in the MOU alongside its existing partners PayExpress (CEO: Jaehyang Kim) which offers blockchain-based payment solutions, and Nature Mobility (CEO: Joosang Kim), which offers blockchain based mobility platform.
The quadrilateral MOU will enable BOScoin to expand its ecosystem from mobility to warrantee services. BOScoin community members will later participate in a "Congress Voting" process to decide whether the new partner is fit for its "Public Financing" program.
BOScoin co-founder and CEO Yezune Choi said, "Through the MOU signed today, partners of BOScoin will be able to cooperate even more closely, which will enable us to create a blueprint in adopting blockchain technology not only in mobility but also in warrantee services." He added, "In order to introduce more warrantee service-like products in BOScoin ecosystem, we plan to focus on more research and development about Public Financing in warrantee service areas."
Beginning next year, "Auto on Net," a subsidiary of Tri World Holdings, and PayExpress plan to jointly provide and sell extended warrantee services for new cars. Auto on Net's directly managed countrywide 1,500 member car repair network around the country will be in charge of enacting the warrantee services. PayExpress will provide supplementary financial services including payment solutions, loans, mileage systems, and overseas remittance services.
Tri World Holdings CEO Taewoo Kim said, "Blockchain based warrantee service products on new cars is a win-win situation for customers, dealers, and auto repair shops. In other words, this can lower insurance costs for B2C customers, add competitive edge for dealers, and promise more customer pools for auto repair shops."
PayExpress CEO Jaehyang Kim said, "Traditionally, capital and credit providers were the main drivers in the financial system. Yet through this MOU, we hope to add 50,000 vehicles in a new car warrantee service end of 2019." He also added, "We consider this as an important opportunity to gain a foothold into a blockchain-based auto finance market."
In addition, Nature Mobility, another partner of BOScoin, will provide additional support by connecting more B2B customers by recommending warrantee services to its client companies that participate in "Zzimcar," an auto rental comparison platform for services in Jeju Island.
Nature Mobility CTO Youngkyu Kim said, "I consider this as a practical warrantee service product that I can recommend to partners, including rental companies and private taxi associations, which hold some 20,000 vehicles combined." He added that, "Blockchain based warrantee services will enhance competitiveness since fleets of electronic vehicles are starting to be newly deployed in Jeju."
