Born U5: Carly Rae Jepsen's Chinese TV show debut set the stage on fire
HANGZHOU, China, June 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Last Saturday, Born U5, the large reality TV show exclusively sponsored by JD.com and produced by Zhejiang Leisure Media Entertainment Co., Ltd, aired its 10th episode. This time, the U5 girls were against with Cimorelli, a family group made of six sisters form the United States. As the solo challenger, singer Carly Rae Jepsen's made her debut on Chinese TV.
Cimorelli is a singing group from El Dorado Hills, California that first gained popularity on YouTube singing cover music. They were subsequently signed to Universal Music's Island label. This is the second battle between U5 Girls and US performers; the Cimorelli sisters present the once heated single Price Tag with a brand new a capella, totally different style compared with the original version. The chorus revealed their perfect chemistry, feeding the audience with a refreshing audio feast.
The two-time Grammy nominee Carly Rae Jepsen performed her two hot singles I really like you and Call me maybe unplugged for solo battle, the audience was wowed by her performance.
In Round 3, which is the key to win, Show Lo appointed Wei Bingxue as the solo performer to fight, she sang the songs of Princess and Three Days and Three Nights in a row, the heated wave of passion set the audience on fire again.
