Booz Allen Hamilton and Operation Homefront Partner to Support Military Parents with "Star-Spangled Babies" Showers
SAN ANTONIO, May 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Booz Allen Hamilton is partnering with Operation Homefront to reach hundreds of growing military families with a series of "Star-Spangled Babies" baby shower events across the nation. The baby showers are being held in April and May in conjunction with National Military Appreciation Month throughout May, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, May 8, and Mother's Day, May 10.
The management consulting, technology, and engineering services provider has a long history of support for military families, including longtime support for national nonprofit Operation Homefront, which provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.
"Military families give so much to our nation, and this is a chance for us to give back at a critical time for these growing families," said Laurie Gallo, executive vice president for Booz Allen Hamilton. "This is a cause that our employees care deeply about, and it shows in the volunteer support that they give for Star-Spangled Babies and other Operation Homefront programs."
At Star-Spangled Babies events, new parents have the opportunity to connect with each other and learn about parenting issues like stress management, financial planning, and understanding children's ages and stages. This also is a great event for new parents to come together and celebrate their pregnancies. Guests will receive a variety of gifts and prizes at the showers.
"We're so grateful for Booz Allen Hamilton's continuing support for our military families," said Tim Farrell, chief operating officer for Operation Homefront. "Year after year, they step up and commit to making life better for those who wear our nation's uniform."
Dates for the series of showers held in partnership between Operation Homefront and Booz Allen Hamilton are April 18 in Dayton, Ohio; May 2 in Norfolk, Virginia; May 3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado; May 8 in the Washington DC metro area; May 15 in Fayetteville, North Carolina; and May 29 in Honolulu.
